BROW SERVICES

I offer two different scheduling options for hair removal services. Either waxing or tweezing can be performed.

Brow Shaping

This service is appropriate for both regular design and brow rehab clients who do not require consultation or extra time in my chair. This appointment does not include an in-depth consultation, nor is it meant for clients who need corrective work. Looking for more consult time or have more hair to remove than the average client? Try booking a longer session!

Brow Shaping XL

Recommended for all first-time clients, those with extra thick brows that require more careful attention to detail, or individuals who would simply like more time in my chair to address their brow design concerns.

If you are a new client, please do not touch your brows for 4 weeks before coming to your first appointment.

When we meet, I will introduce you to a technique I use called Brow Mapping. This is a method used by many of my favorite brow artists (Anastasia Soares refers to it as the Golden Ratio) and training companies. I will go in-depth during the consultation, but to put it simply: I find where the brow should start, arch and end by measuring specific points on the client's face. After finding these points, I use them to draw an outline over and around the existing brow, using it as a guide to determine what hair I will remove and what hair will be left behind. Clients who are looking to grow out their brows into a new shape will go through the same process, known as Brow Rehab.

Overtweezed, overwaxed or threaded? Brows too thin, two different shapes or full of holes? Let's get you into Rehab!

Rehab clients are Brow Mapped at each appointment for consistency and receive a full Brow Shaping service at each appointment. I ask all of my Brow Rehab clients to leave their brows alone completely in order for me to work more effectively.

Brow Rehab can take 1-3 years to complete, depending on the severity and method of the client's follicle damage. It is usually a slow but steady process.

The hair follicle is a small organ located in the dermal layer of the skin. It is responsible for creating and nourishing hair cells all over the body. When a follicle dies, it will no longer produce hormones or peptides needed to produce hair cells, resulting in permanent hair loss at that site. Some clients may experience permanent hair loss due to health conditions, medication, drug use, infection, side effects from medication as well as mechanical friction, such as tweezing, threading, or excess rubbing or pulling.

Follicle damage can potentially be repaired. After much research, I have found topical ingredients that are beneficial to aiding in healing hair follicles. My signature conditioning brow treatment is 100% natural, vegan and cruelty-free. It contains powerful anti-inflammatories such as horsetail (plant) extract and CBD oil which allow nutrients to penetrate the hair shaft and root. The result is faster growing, stronger, shinier, healthier brows. You can purchase it online for use before your first appointment or in the salon.

BROW LAMINATION

Brow Lamination, also known as Brow Lift(ing), is being called "the hottest beauty trend of 2020" by both Allure and Vogue magazine, is all over Instagram and Buzzfeedbut what is it? Essentially, it's a perm. Yeah, a perm - for your brows! This treatment is exactly what I have been waiting for! I can now smooth out and straighten cowlicks and curly hair in the brow, making it straight and easy to style - I can completely change the hair's growth pattern into something more desirable for the client's style - the possibilities are totally endless. A Brow Shaping is included at every Brow Lamination appointment.

I provide aftercare kits for lamination services to each client so they can properly care for their new brows at home!

The average wear is about 6-8 weeks.

Clients experiencing hormonal changes due to hypo/hyperthyroidism, birth control, medication, stress, or surgery may not be ideal candidates for lamination, as the chemicals used may cause brittleness or premature shedding of the brow hair.

Clients with open cuts, wounds, infections, or undiagnosed lumps in the brow area cannot be serviced. Clients who are allergic to glyceryl monothioglycolate or ammonium thioglycolate cannot receive this service.

BROW TINTING

Brow Tint is similar to the color we use to dye our hair except that it is formulated to be safe and legal for use around the eye area in the state of Rhode Island – using hair color on brows in salons is illegal, though many hairdressers will do it at the risk of losing their license. It is gentler than regular hair color and will not compromise the integrity of your brow hair, whereas regular hair color can cause damage to the brow due to high concentrations of ammonia and peroxide.

Brow Tint is applied directly to the brow using a makeup brush and leaves a temporary stain that lasts up to a full week. Brow Tint is not intended to last on the skin longer than 7 days (this is just a silver lining to the service) and will only temporarily darken the color of your natural brows. Because it is a semi-permanent color, it will need to be reapplied every month or so to remain fresh and dark.

Brow Tint needs hair to adhere to, therefore making it a better option for clients with medium-to-full brows.

Brow Tinting is not an alternative to tattooing or Henna and will not last on areas without hair.

HENNA BROWS

Henna brows are a form of eyebrow tinting that is used to stain the skin beneath the brow hairs. The purpose of this is to cast a shadow or create an illusion of depth and fullness in the area, visually filling in any sparseness. Henna is a natural dye made from a plant known as hina or the henna tree.

Henna will stain the skin and last up to 4 weeks.
